A Studio?

Well it's almost the end of the month already, it's been such a busy month I have hardly had time to write. The Antigone project seems to just get bigger and bigger, but that can only be a good thing I, I have now designed seven beautiful tickets, and a website http://www.thelastantigone.beachcast.co.nz/ for the project and now I'm embarking on the images that will be used as background for the set.

The images will be a challenge but I love that about the project no vision is being held back by the possibility that it might be difficult everyone is just going for it and I think the overall spectacle of the play will be better for it.

Also I have been on the hunt for some studio space, I think it's about time I got my office out of the corner of my bedroom and out into the real world, and I think I may have found a fantastic space. Recently the old Op shop that ran out of Coronation Hall here in Portobello closed down, the room they were using is at the front of the hall which has these beautiful and really large windows. The windows let in a stunning light that would be brilliant for displaying work, it's also in a good position with plenty of parking. I have registered my interest in the space and will hopefully find out on Tuesday, so wish me luck.

Yesterday I went down to Alans Beach with my family, it was a really hot day and a lot of seals had come up to the rocks to cool off, a couple in particular seemed happy enough for me to get close enough to take some pictures, great show offs they are.

Stewart Island

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I had a lovely Christmas and a fantastic three days on Stewart Island before the New Year. It's a beautiful piece of the country which I think most Kiwi's tend to forget about which is unfortunate because it's stunning.

Here are some pictures I took while on the island there are more on the slideshow to the bottom right.
